All,

Often, to diagnose an issue, or to temporarily allow a blocked message to pass through, it would be nice if there was a setting, preferably in a text file, that would allow a "Key Phrase" to be placed in the "Subject" line of an email that would bypass ALL rules and allow delivery, no matter what.  For instance, a text file may have the following entries:

@AARDVARK
lEtmE1n
d0N0tF1lt3r m3
Hey! Let me pass!

We would give one of these to a customer, they would tell their sender to include the EXACT phrase in the subject line and at some later date, we would change the list.  An empty list would disable the feature.

Opinions PLEASE!

Regards,
Dan Seligmann

Dan,  Why not just find out why the "customer" is being blocked and put their domain in the white list. Wouldn't that do what your're requesting?

With 12,000 email accounts, 800 domains and 70,000 messages a day, that would be VERY impractical.  I am talking about a temp allow until the customer's contact can get THEIR issue fixed.  We will not alter our "White Lists" to bypass our filters for each situation that comes up like this.  Too much overhead, to much to keep track of. and against our policys anyway.

Would a compromise, having a single subject white-list entry for "power-users" in the .ini file, be acceptable?

I am always good for compromises!  I think that would work.
