I read in a previous post that the plan is to move (as much as possible) the 'lists' to individual files. With that in mind, can there be an option to have user specific white lists and black lists? I'm from a smaller company (we have a few domains and 150 or so users) and am being asked to control a lot about the inbound email - there are users that want specific 'press release' type email announcements (that most of us would consider spam), and others that don't - so I can't just blacklist the particular sender. Also, now that SpamFilter ISP is database aware, can there be an option to have the 'lists' in database tables instead of files? Would that cause too much processing overhead? -Ric |

Rick, We are currently trying to limit the need for the database, and use it exclusively for the quarantine. There are several users who do not quarantine email and do not wish to run a database. Please also not that while it is indeeed easier if stored in a database, using a bit of ASP code it is possible to make changes to the configuration text files used by SpamFilter, thus allowing some changes to be made via the web. SpamFilter automatically re-imports all external files every few minutes already, so that functionality is already available. Roberto F. |

Roberto, Thanks - I can understand the desire to stay out of databases as much as possible. What about the idea of user specific white/black lists? -Ric |

Ric, Exclusions/inclusions of the various filters by emails is something we may add in future versions. Roberto |
