Hi,

I have also experienced memory leak similar to Kevin's.  I am running NT4 sp6a with IIS4.  Installation of spamfilter version 1.2.0.178

It started yesterday when i start spamfilter as a service, the cpu would spike every 5 minutes and memory stay around 8mb.  but after 20 minutes, the cpu would stay at 100% and memory start to climb from 8mb to eventually all the memory available (around 300mb).

I am not using quanrantine grid or any sql odbc.  this never happens before.  please help.

thanks
jing

Are you a registered user?  If so, try the latest build (195) on the download page.  Also, are you using MySQL?  That is the issues that Kevin is dealing with at the moment.

Hi Dan,

I'm not a registered user, so I don't have the latest build. I am not using Mysql or any other database for quarantine.  I am not quarantine any incoming emails.

As you noted, MDAC on our server has been downgraded as well. The culprit... None other than Crystal Reports. However, instead of reinstalling version 2.7 of MDAC (which now has 3 versions, 2.7, 2.7 refresh, and 2.7 SP1) I am going to attempt to install and run MDAC 2.8. Is there any known issues with 2.8 that I should be aware of?

UPDATE:

We installed MDAC 2.8 and are not having any problems, the Memory leak has also gone away. For those wondering MDAC 2.8 can be found at the link below:

Thanks,

Sean
