Curently getting these errors each day at the around the same time each evening.  No system processes scheduled to start at that time so I believe it may be due to a spam drone slated to send at that time each night.    What is causing this exception?

The problem is that it appears that McAfee's On-Access scanning gets mysteriously deactivated about that time each night too.  Such that I find I have to turn it on again in the morning.

I was getting these errors when I had the corpus folders included in my Mcafee Netshield AV. Once I excluded the log directories and Corpus directories from being scanned the errors went away. If the AV application is scanning the .tmp then SF can't update the file because the AV will lock the file until it is finished scanning it.

You might want to try excluding the corpus folder and see if that stops your errors.
