Is it possible to add custom headers, or modify existing headers of e-mails that are processed by SpamFilter ISP?  I would like to edit the X-Server header to reflect our company name if possible.  This would add something recognizable that would allow customers to see that the e-mail was scanned by our system.

Sorry Matt, only the welcome banner prsented when someone connects to SpamFilter is somewhat customizeable, not the email headers.

this would be nice to have so our competitors can't find out what system we use.

Derk,

Please note that SpamFilter is designed to handle incoming emails only, so under "normal" circumstances only your internal users will receive the emails with the headers, not your competitors.

If you use SpamFilter to process outgoing emails as well, then yes, your statement is correct.

it is not used for outgoing.  However, all it would take to find out what we use would be for somebody to forward a message.  I can't very well ask hundreds of customers to not forward a message that might possibly be to one of our competitors.

no, it's not a super huge deal.  It would just be nice to be able to brand the service to us.

I'll second that -

It may not be good for LogSat, but I don't want my competitors to find out why we are kicking their a$$ when it comes to filtering for our customers.  Even if it were as simple as selecting a check box to "disable logsat name in X-header"

As for the custom headers - that would be very usefully as well to us.

Consider this my formal "feature request"

I also think custom headers would be nice too.

That's a valuable feature for me, too.

Thanks,

Ok ok ok... Did all of you team up on this outside the forum and then bombarded us with the request?

We've added the option to customize the X-Server, via an .ini option, in the next release we're working on...
Hopefully within the next few days we'll have a beta of SpamFilter Enterprise available (including this)
