We pre-released a new beta of SpamFilter v3.0 in the registered user area.
The release notes are as follows: // New to VersionNumber = '3.0.1.555'; {TODO -cNew : Replaced the SFDB_URL in the SpamFilter.ini with http://sfdb.logsat.com/SFDBUpload/} {TODO -cNew : The SFDB filter does not attempt to remove IP from the SFDB database anymore as this is done automatically by our servers} {TODO -cFix : SFDB now stops attempting to upload blocked IP information for filter type 21 (the SFDB filter itself)} {TODO -cNew : The SFDB does not log HTTP errors as "Exceptions" anymore} {TODO -cFix : We were updating the "Current IPs listed in the SFDB" field even if the SFDB was disabled} {TODO -cFix : The SFDB stats and other SFDB controls were not positioned correctly on screen when resizing GUI} {TODO -cNew : Limited the web interface to listen on 127.0.0.1 only for free version of SpamFilter} |

In the changelog you write something about a changed url. I can't see anything in my spamfilter.ini about any url... And last question. When I upgrade to newver builds i normally only get some new exe files, i don't get any changes to my spamfilter.ini Hope you can help me out Edited by sirrar |

Torsten,
As long as you get errors occasionally (meaning one or two every 5 minutes or so), it's not a problem. The error is caused by our servers not reponding in time, and spamfilter will simply ignore the query and continue. We're in the process of upgrading our servers to be able to handle the extra load, and that should greatly diminish these errors. Anytime there are new settings available, SpamFilter will start with the defaults. These new settings are only written to the ini file when you click on "Save Settings". So if you can please do that while SpamFilter runs, you'll be able to see the new options in the ini file right after that. |

Ouch, missed this post, sorry...
The error means that either port 80 or 443 (the ones used by the new web interface by default) are already being used by another application, so SpamFilter can't use them for its own web server. You will either have to find out which application is using thoses ports, or change the default values in SpamFilter. If you click on "Save Settings" in SpamFilter so the new options appear in the SpamFilter.ini file, then you should see: WWWListenIP= WWWListenPort=80 WWWListenSSLPort=443 which will allow you to change the default settings.

Hi again Thankyou very much for the fast support. I only get the SFDB error occasionally. And you were right about save settings. I now have the new settings in my spamfilter.ini
