Testing out SFI and loving it so far. One issue while we are waiting for the new Win 2008 fully compatible versionis that the Interactive Services Detection screen will close RDP sessions after a few minutes. If I go back to the desktop the RDP session will stay open but if I leave the ISD screen with SFI in it up then the RDP session is closed after a few minutes.
Anyone seen a workaround for this? I searched and could not find any information on this topic. thanks! |

I hated running spamfilter under 2008, here is what I ended up doing. Since normally the server would be up for several months at a time:
1) Set spamfilter to start as a service, in case the machine reboots 2) RDP into the machine, stop the service. Start spamfilter as an application. Then when I RDP into the console I could access spamfilter nicely, if the server was up for 6 months there was no issue. The service being set to start would catch any unexpected reboots. In the end I switched back to 2003.... once my lease was up on the 2008 server. |

Thanks yapadu. I've considered the standalone/console option as well as running it on a 2k3 box. But really, so far the 2008 ISD isn't horrible ... I just liked monitoring the server during our testing and it was nice to keep the console open, but over the long run I doubt it will be an issue.
