It seems as the the process name for the SpamFilter service was changed from SpamFilterSvc to SPAMFI~2 in v1.1.2.117. Previously, I was running 1.1.0.80, with the old behavior.

The installation program may have translated filenames into 8dot3 format. If you issue the SpamFilterSvc /reinstall the service path "should" be reset to the correct format. If not, try SpamFilterSvc /uninstall and then SpamFilterSvc /install

Can this be done without shutting down the service?

Not using the command line, the service will shutdown when you issue that command. Roberto Franceschetti |
